Itinerary
When you arrive in Sri Lanka, you will be able to find one of our representatives from Next Travel Sri Lanka at the Arriving Lounge of the Colombo Airport paging your name. Once your identity is confirmed, you will be guided to your hotel at Negombo. The ride would only take nearly an hour, and during this ride, you would be able to observe the scenic beauty of the coastal town of Negombo, the lifestyles of the Sri Lankans, as well as the shades of a bustling city. However, upon arriving at the hotel in Negombo, you have time to enjoy your relaxation for the day, as we believe that you need a good rest after a tiring overseas journey. Overnight stay would be at this hotel in Negombo.
On the second day of the tour, we would be leaving the scenic coastal town of Negombo, to arrive at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. As you might already know, it is home to a large number of elephants of all ages. Thus, you would get the chance to observe them up close and personal, feed the baby elephants, and see how the herds bathe at the river nearby as well. And the excitement for the day won’t end here, as you would be heading to the Minneriya National Park. Being a land of wildlife, with elephants as its star attraction, we can promise you a wonderful experience in this land of greenery as well.
This day is dedicated to exploring some significant cultural and religious attractions of the island. Accordingly, we would be heading to the ancient city of Anuradhapura, which was also the first capital kingdom of ancient Sri Lanka. Following a wonderful exploration in this sacred city, we would next head to Sigiriya, the beautiful village which houses the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is also known as the eighth wonder of the world. The ruins of the fortress rest at the top of the rock, thus, climbing this rock, and witnessing the scenic beauty from the top would simply be a fascinating experience.
On this day, we would be visiting the Dambulla Cave temple, which rests in a pleasant surrounding in the ancient city of Dambulla. It is the best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka and consists of five caves. Besides, these caves house several ancient statues and murals, further enhancing the grandeur of this significant cultural attraction. The fifth day of this tour is dedicated to exploring the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. Accordingly, we would be visiting the royal botanical garden, in Peradeniya, located in close proximity to the beautiful ancient city of Kandy. After enjoying the beautiful landscapes of greenery, and the vibrant florals at this park, we would next head to the charming mountain town of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya. On the way, we would be visiting the Ramboda falls, one of the most amazing cascades on the island, and also a tea factory, and a tea plantation. Overnight stay would be at Nuwara Eliya.
This day is to offer you some more wonderful experiences! We would start the trip for the day by visiting the Ella Gap, a breathtaking attraction in Central Highlands. Thereafter, we plan to visit the Ravana waterfall, an attractive waterfall in the vicinity of Nuwara Eliya, which also has a significant bond with King Ravana, from the historical legends. Finally, we will be arriving at Yala National Park in the afternoon, and this visit is to offer you some wonderful experiences. Being a land of wildlife, with a massive population of leopards and elephants, a safari there would create an opportunity to observe them up close and personal.
On the seventh day of the tour, we would be heading to southern Sri Lanka. Accordingly, our first stop would be at Mirissa, the scenic golden shores of this island.
