Itinerary

When you arrive in Sri Lanka, you will be able to find one of our representatives from Next Travel Sri Lanka at the Arriving Lounge of the Colombo AirPort paging your name. Once your identity is confirmed, you will be guided to the luxurious and comfortable vehicle provided to you, to begin the journey to the beautiful city of Kandy. On the way, you will be visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a place where the injured and orphaned elephants of all ages are sheltered. However, you would be arriving at this place, during the time of the day where the baby elephants are fed, and herds of elephants are bathed. Thus, you can even experience that wonderful scenery, and after spending time observing the elephants out there, you will continue your journey to Kandy. Upon arrival, you would get the opportunity of going on a city tour around the sacred city of Kandy, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And during this tour, you will certainly visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the most prestigious religious and cultural attraction of Buddhists. Optional: In the evening you have the chance of experiencing the delight of a cultural dance show, that would reveal to you the beauty of the traditional arts of Sri Lanka.
Following the breakfast of the second day, you would be visiting one of the most charming locations around Kandy. And yes, it is none other than the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya. The splendid landscaping out there, along with the sceneries it creates as the colourful shades of flowers perfectly blend with the greenery, are sure to amuse your eyes beyond words. After spending some time there enjoying the pleasant nature, you would arrive at the Peradeniya Train Station, to begin one of the most beautiful train rides that you can ever experience in this whole world. Of course, as you begin your train ride to Nuwara Eliya, the lush greenery of the mountainous surroundings you pass, the verdant tea estates, majestic waterfalls that stand far away, and the relaxing cool climate you experience would certainly prove you the fascination of this amazing train ride. However, you will be getting down at the Nanu Oya Train Station, and your chauffeur guide will be there. Optional: In the evening you can visit Gregory Lake, walk around the garden, and chill a bit amidst the cool climate out there at Nuwara Eliya.
On this day, upon receiving the packet of breakfast, you would begin your early morning excursion to the Horton Plains National Park, the wonderful UNESCO World Heritage site of greenery. Besides, it is home to a wide range of endemic flora and fauna. Thus, you can walk around the plains, and observe the beauty of those wonderful surrounding for sure. Further, this visit includes a short trek to Bakers Falls, and World’s End, which would certainly enhance the fascination of this tour. So, after enjoying these activities, you can get back to your hotel and take a small rest. Afterwards, the travel to Ella would begin. Meanwhile, you would be able to visit some amazing waterfalls and tea plantations, and finally, the day would end with the spell-bounding sceneries you observe at the Ella Rock viewpoint.
Following the breakfast of the 4th day of the tour, you would be visiting the Little Adam’s Peak, and the Nine Arch Bridge, two of the major attraction in the beautiful mountain city of Ella. Then you would begin your trip to Mirissa, and on the way, you would be visiting the Udawalawe National Park. It is indeed a wonderful place that houses a wide array of wildlife. Thus, we have scheduled a jeep safari in the national park in the afternoon, and it would surely offer you the best out of the best of this popular National Park. And finally, you would arrive at Mirissa, the scenic coastal town of Sri Lanka, and check-in at the hotel.

Owing to this reason, we have planned on an early morning whale watching safari at Mirissa on this day. Then, after enjoying this boat safari, you would begin your drive back to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. And on the way, you would be visiting a turtle hatchery in Bentota, where you can observe different species of endangered, and injured turtles, and the releasing of baby turtles to the sea. And yes, this charming coastal town is a perfect place for many other water activities such as boat rides, and snorkelling as well. However, after enjoying Bentota, you would continue your trip to Colombo, and arrive at this bustling city by afternoon.
