Itinerary

When you arrive in Sri Lanka, you will be able to find one of our representatives from Next Travel Sri Lanka at the Arriving Lounge of the Colombo Airport paging your name. Once your identity is confirmed, you will be guided to your hotel at Negombo. This trip would take a few minutes, and you are sure to witness an authentic blend of Sri Lanka, as you head to this coastal town of charms. In fact, the colonial-era remains of this town, the splendors of the golden sandy shores, the bustling city streets, and the wonderful fishing shores will offer you a bunch of delightful memories as you explore this coastal town. However, the first day of this tour is dedicated to relaxing and enjoying Negombo. Therefore, your arrival time is not an issue, since you would be able to enjoy your time at the beach or on the pool of your hotel if you land on this splendid island in the morning hours. Besides, evening hours would further delight you as you relax by the shores and enjoy a welcome dinner. Overnight stay would be at the hotel in Negombo. (Dinner included)
On the second day of this tour, you are going to wake up to a splendid view which is a combination of blue sea and blue sky. Of course, this would give you a fresh start to the day. However, the schedules for the day would begin with an Ayurvedic consultation of 15 minutes done by the experienced and well-trained physicians on the island which would lead to a soothing Ayurveda treatment. This would take around 2.15 hours. Next, the yoga session and the pool exercise conducted by the hotel would make your day more energetic. After being into some Sri Lankan treatments and having freshened up along with the lunch, you can have a tour to witness the ideal coastal city, Negombo. Then you would be headed back to the five-star hotel for an overnight stay where you can have a rest with rambling memories of the city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
The third day of this tour would also start with a wellness treatment similar to the second day, yet with some interesting additions. Starting with a 15 minutes Ayurveda consultation, an Ayurveda treatment would take place. However, the wellness treatment of the third day gives significant importance to entertainment factors. Thus, following these local medicinal treatments, the hotel will direct you to a music therapy session which would give more relaxation to your mind. Thereafter, an Ayurveda awareness session will follow and you will get the opportunity to get to know about the local medicines and treatments and their effectiveness in detail. Then, a 1-hour yoga session similar to the preceding day would take place. Then there will be a cookery demonstration where you would witness the art of Sri Lankan food. And yes, this food variety would surely include a wonderful combination of seafood, since Negombo lives with the ocean side by side. Following this delight, you would have pool exercises as the earlier day. However, this day is allocated completely to physical and mental fitness along with introducing you to the local therapies and local kitchen since they represent the heritage of the Island. It is a day in the hotel rather than touring around, yet giving you a self-time to relax, relax and freshen up with dinner and a good sleep which is required for quite a long trip the next day. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
The fourth day of this tour package also begins with a wellness delight program and ends with a yoga session and pool exercises. However, this would be the last wellness delight program you would enjoy amidst the sea breeze in the splendors of Negombo. After having lunch you would check-out from the hotel where you had a mesmerizing stay for three days and would head towards central Sri Lanka. Passing the coasts and storing the picturesque shores and foamy waves, we will be taking you to a way too opposite environment which is more a busy city surrounded by the greenery. A trip from Negombo to Kandy gives you the feeling of wind from a cold sea breeze to a quite hot yet soothing touch. Since this is a journey from the coast into the country, you will feel the change of everything starting from weather to surroundings. Within like 4-5 hours of traveling you would enter the city of beauty established around an eye-catching lake. You would directly check into the five-star Santani Wellness Resort & Spa to rest and for the night. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
During this city tour, you would be able to explore a different environment that has a religious and peaceful ambiance. However, while in Kandy, you would get a chance to admit it into a wellness program that is quite different from previous ones. Since you are in a Spa & Resort they would be conducting a Hatha Yoga session where you would work on your mind and body for 1.5 hours. After that, you will be having breakfast away from seafood, but a delicious meal presented by the resort. Then we will be heading to the city to have a tour around attempting to give you the best picture of Kandy with its immense beauty. This is a city that bears high value towards tourism and no tourist will miss this highly attractive city with a religious presence. You will get the opportunity to visit most religious places on the island from this tour along with some unique sightseeing while rambling around the lake centered in the city. Then, we will be introducing you to the traditional cultural entertainment on the island by taking you to a cultural showcase where you can enjoy the traditional Kandyan dance. Towards the late afternoon, you will be reaching the resort once again and have a rest with a good sleep amidst the bustling wind. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
This day starts with a 1.5 hours yoga session just like the fifth day. Then you can freshen up and have breakfast at the resort. Besides, this day is allocated to visit the lion rock of Sigiriya which is 92km away from Kandy. Hence, immediately after breakfast, we will be leaving to reach the rock on time while visiting several places on the way as well. This takes you a little more into the country and probably into the woods since the path to Sigiriya is surrounded by greenery. On the way to the destination, we will be visiting one of the few spice gardens on the island where you would find all the rare spices in the country that give the native food a unique taste. After that, we will be visiting the Golden Temple in Dambulla, which is quite close to the destination. This is a temple on a rock that has significant importance in the history of Sri Lanka. This is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex on the island containing five caves where one can find ancient statues and paintings and thus gained attraction. Then we will be reaching the destination, the Eighth World Heritage which is an ancient rock fortress.  After exploring the spot we will be heading back to the resort in Kandy for an overnight stay. (Breakfast, Dinner included)
After participating in the 1.5 hours yoga session and enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will be checking out from the resort to head towards the low country, precisely Galle leaving Kandy but preserving all the soothing memories. Once again this is a journey towards the coastal area but in the Southern part, and one of the main coastal areas in the country. This is indeed a long journey of about 265km, and hence we will be stopping in a few places to sight-seeing and visit some places on the way. At around 5.30 pm you will be checking in to the five-star hotel where you can have your own leisure and enjoy dinner at the resort. The Galle stay would go for three days and you can enjoy the Soft Ayurveda Program which is designed to help you to relax your body, release stress and gain vitality during your stay. This is a special arrangement made by the hotel for its guests in order to make their stay more productive and energetic. Overnight stay would be at the hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner included)
This eighth day is allocated for a tour around Galle city. This trip is sure to delight you as you roam around amidst the sea breeze and bustling sound of the waves through a seaside road which gives the view of sandy shores throughout. The priority will be given to the local attractions and to learn the uniqueness and the importance in the city. Then, you would get an opportunity to attend a cookery class, which is a special part of this journey, to introduce you to the Southern cooking culture and taste. These recipes and tastes would vary from what you enjoyed and experienced at Kandy since this is another province that has its own food culture and traditions. Later, towards dusk you will be back in the hotel where you can attend the Soft Ayurveda program to drain off the fatigue you had for the day and make up your mind for a fresh start the next day. The night will be spent at the same five-star hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner included)
Day 09: Galle - Local Village The day will start with a journey to a village area in the city to interact with the locals in order to have a sneak-peek into Galle traditions and culture. You can have a solid time with them and learn much more about the Southern part of the island while enjoying the rurality and the humbleness of its people. You would witness the true means of local welcoming and hospitality through this visit. After having a cordial meet-up with them and a thorough exploration of the village you would be headed back to the hotel. You can go through the same Ayurveda program to make your body and mind soothe in order to bury the mesmerizing moments you had in Galle in your mind. The overnight stay would be at the hotel and with this night the Galle stay would come to an end. (Breakfast, Dinner included)
Leaving the coastal beauty in its place and holding the footsteps you kept at the city in your mind store, you will be leaving Galle quite early in the morning in order to reach Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. This will ideally be the last day of the tour since the 11th day is for the departure. After having a long journey of around 187km through the coastal belts of Galle to the commercial city of Colombo, you would obviously feel the difference in the breeze you get from the Southern wind and the Western wind in the island. At around 12.30 we will be checking into the hotel and after having lunch with a little rest we will be leaving the hotel for a shopping tour in the best city in the country for goods. On this tour, you can buy whatever you feel like buying, yet we prefer to go for some souvenir type of things along with some products of Sri Lankan industries since seeing them will awaken your mind with all the good memories you had in Sri Lanka.  The final night of this ideal tour will be at the five-star hotel in Colombo which makes it easy for you to reach the airport on time the next day. (Breakfast, Dinner included)
As we mark the end of this tour, we would be heading to the Colombo International Airport, following a delicious breakfast, on the time for the departure flight.   After all, we believe that this tour package features the best of the island, satisfying the true favors.
