We expect an early start on the first day of this tour. So, at around 6.00 a.m in the morning this day, one of our representatives would be picking you up from your hotel around Colombo, and then begin our trip to Pinnawala. Accordingly, the first stop for the day would be at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. As you might already know, it is one of the special places in the world that shelters the largest herds of captive elephants. Thus, these majestic creatures of all ages are sure to offer you a day of delight at this premise of greenery. Besides, it would create ample opportunities to observe how the authorities take care of the injured and the orphaned elephants. Following breakfast on this day, you would be heading to another ancient city in Central Sri Lanka, which is Dambulla. Next, you would arrive at the scenic Dambulla town, and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, which is one of the most important religious and cultural attractions in Sri Lanka.
