Itinerary

When you arrive in Sri Lanka, you will be able to find one of our representatives from Next Travel Sri Lanka at the Arriving Lounge of the Colombo Airport paging your name. Once your identity is confirmed, you are all set to begin this wonderful tour on this splendid island. Our first destination for the tour would be Negombo, the charming coastal city of Sri Lanka. You will only take a few minutes to arrive there. Yet, we can assure you of a wonderful experience as you pass the bustling city limits, and the fishing village to visit this charming town. Evening hours are free for you to relax by the shores with your partner, and the day would end with a delicious seafood dinner. Overnight stay would be at a hotel in Negombo
On the second day of this tour, you will be heading to the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. On the way, we would be visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you would find a large number of orphaned elephants taken care of with much love. If you are lucky, you would even get a chance to observe how the elephants are fed and bathed as well. Following this visit, we would continue our journey to Dambulla, one of the main cities of the Cultural triangle. There, you would visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, the best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. Following this valuable observation, you can head to the scenic village of Sigiriya to take a tour around the village as well. Towards the evening, you will get a chance to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO world heritage site. This visit is sure to offer you some wonderful experiences, as you would get the chance to observe the ruins of the still-functioning water garden in the scenic environment, the mirror wall on the rock, Sigiriya frescoes paintings, and the ruins of the ancient palace on the top of the rock. As you descend this wonderful cultural attraction, the schedules for the day would end, and you would be spending overnight at a hotel in Sigiriya.
The third day of this tour begins with an amazing activity! Yes, you would get the opportunity to enjoy a hot air balloon ride early in the morning. Experiencing the beauty of the scenic surroundings of Dambulla will surely offer you a bunch of amusements. This ride would take around 2 hours, and you would land back at around 8 a.m in the morning. Then, you would get the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast, and then, our journey to Kandy would begin. As you might already know, Kandy is a charming town blessed with natural beauty that holds great importance as the last ancient kingdom capital of Sri Lanka. Thus, you have so many experiences to witness out there. However, our schedules include visiting a gem museum, Batik factory, Royal Botanical Garden as well as the Temple of the Tooth Relic - the most sacred religious attraction of Buddhists. The day would end with a cultural dance show that reveals to you the delight of the Sri Lankan culture, as well as the traditional dancing styles. Overnight stay would be at Kandy.
The fourth day of this tour would take you to the scenic hill country of the island. We would begin the trip in the morning, and our first stop for the day would be Ramboda Falls, an amazing waterfall in Sri Lanka. Then, we would continue our journey to beautiful Nuwara Eliya, which is also famous as the central point of the Sri Lankan tea-growing region. Of course, a visit to this beautiful mountain town would be incomplete if you don’t stop at a tea plantation. So, we would not only stop at a tea plantation but also visit a tea factory on this day, to see from our own eyes how Ceylon tea is made! Following this wonderful visit, you would then explore the city of Nuwara Eliya, and during this tour, you will also visit the post office, which holds the colonial era architectural shades, and the Hanuman temple as well. The day would end with a visit to the land of flowers, Hakgala Botanical Garden. Overnight stay would be at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Indeed, Nuwara Eliya is one of the major attractions of lovers. So, we believe that spending some time leisurely with your partner in this beautiful mountain town with a relaxing climate would be a wonderful experience. However, we have planned a visit to the Horton Plains in the morning, and this exploration is to offer you some quality time with nature as it holds some spectacular sceneries that are second to none. And why not? If you are a wildlife lover, the extensive wildlife it houses, as well as the unique flora and fauna out there are going to delight you beyond a doubt. Following this exploration, you also get the chance to visit some strawberry farms in this town, and then it is time for your leisure! You can enjoy the charm of this town by the scenic setting of Gregory Lake, and spend some romantic time with your partner leisurely towards the eve. Overnight stay would be at the same hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
This day is indeed special, as you would get a chance to experience one of the best train rides in the world, which is from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. The stunning scenery you pass as you ride through the misty mountains will surely prove to you why we say so! Upon arriving at Ella, the beautiful mountain town, you have the opportunity of exploring the charm out there, and if you wish to, you can even climb the Ella Rock to catch the best views of these pleasant surroundings! Next, you would head to Yala, and the overnight stay would be out there.
The seventh day offers you some wonderful opportunities to explore the wild. In fact, you would be visiting the Yala National Park, which is certainly the most popular national park on the island. We believe that a jeep safari out there is the best way to observe the wildlife up close and personal. Hence, we are planning to take you on a safari ride out there, and believe us, it would create you some amazing opportunities to move deeper into the wild to spot the leopards, sloth bears, deers, elephants, monkeys, amphibians, reptiles, as well as mighty birds. Following this delightful experience, you would then head to the South Coast of the island. Our destination would be Mirissa, that coastal town that houses one of the best shorelines on the island. Yes, you guessed it right! The evenings are dedicated for you to relax by the shores with your partner. You can even enjoy an ayurvedic therapy at the ayurvedic spa of the hotel if you wish to!
The eighth day of this tour is dedicated to exploring the charm of the scenic Mirissa shores. Indeed, Mirissa is the best for several exciting activities, and the day is, to begin with, a wonderful whale-watching tour. As you might already know, Mirissa is a popular location for whale watching, yet please note that this is a seasonal activity. Following this amusement, you have ample opportunities to enjoy at your heart’s core together with your partner. You can either head for a long walk, or indulge in some water sport if you wish to. If not, you can even choose to relax on the shores, while sipping a fresh fruit juice. Overnight stay would be at a hotel in Mirissa.
On the ninth day of this tour, you would continue exploring the scenic shores of the South Coast. However, Galle, the iconic city of Southern Sri Lanka, would be our first stop for the day. This majestical city that holds a number of remains from the colonial era, houses a number of significant historical attractions that are indeed worth exploring. So, among them, we would first visit the Galle Fort, and then, continue our journey in the city around. Following this wonderful city exploration, we would then head to another charm of the South Coast, which is Hikkaduwa. Out there, you can not only enjoy the breathtaking views that it offers but also enjoy snorkeling, surfing, or scuba diving if you wish to. Overnight stay would be at a hotel in beautiful Hikkaduwa.
Following a delicious breakfast, we would proceed ahead with our beach exploration, and visit Bentota, which is another attractive shoreline that Sri Lanka houses. En route, we will also visit a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda, where you would get the chance to observe how the turtle eggs are protected, and how the baby turtles are released to the sea. This is sure to offer you a unique experience. Next in line for the day would be a river safari. We have chosen a river safari at the Madu River in this area, because this river flows through a scenic setting that holds a unique natural charm. Following this wonderful activity, we would arrive at our final destination for the day, which is Bentota. Out there, you can enjoy some water sports such as jet-skiing, banana riding, sofa riding, tube riding, river cruising, or water skiing. The day would end with a candlelight dinner, making it a memorable day on this honeymoon tour! Overnight stay would be at Bentota.
On this day, we would be heading back to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. As you might already know, this vibrant city houses a number of attractions that you should never miss. Starting from cultural and religious attractions, to historical monuments, to modern shopping complexes, there is so much for you to observe within the city limits. However, our plan is to visit a few major attractions such as the National Museum of Colombo, Independence Memorial Hall, Gangarama Temple, Pettah Market, the  Dutch Hospital, and the Dutch Museum. Apart from that, you would also get a chance to spend some leisure time at the Galle Face Green, the wonderful park by the sea. Colombo nightlife is also something interesting to witness. So, after enjoying all these fascinations, you can spend your night at the hotel in Colombo.
This wonderful tour in Sri Lanka would reach the end following a small shopping tour in Colombo. Thereafter, you can proceed to the airport to board your flight.
